St. John the Apostle
More than any other Apostle, John invites us in his Gospel to abide in Christ. His writings direct us toward a lived reality of what it means to love Christ Himself with a real tangible love. This beloved apostle knew what it meant to abide in Christ, and he tells us all how to do it in his Gospel and Epistles.

The Saints Show Us How To Abide
The Saints allowed Christ's Life to shape their suffering, their choices, their desires, and all their daily actions. Each of these saints reveals a different way of abiding in Him.
Christ can be present in every moment of our lives if we desire Him to, here and now. We do not have to trudge through each day relying on willpower alone, trying to avoid sin while waiting to meet Him only after death. To abide means receiving all that Christ desires to give us today, and love Christ like the Saints.
As we reject sin, make a firm amendment of life, and remain close to Him through Baptism, Penance, and the Eucharist, Christ begins to transform us in ways we could never accomplish on our own. He brings real light and purpose into our days, heals the wounds beneath our sins, and through our surrender, He gradually but quickly frees us from the desires that once ruled us.
Over time, His Life begins to bear fruit through ours. It is Christ within us, working through us, who brings this mission to life.
